RTA provides reliable machinery and transport services for waste treatment plants, industrial estates, construction sites and more. Our services include pallet and special transport for moving heavy equipment, exchange pallet services and transport of soil with our own comprehensive range of machinery. If necessary, we can arrange the service package you need in collaboration with contractor partners.
RTA has more than 60 vehicles.
Engineering services for earthwork
We offer machinery services for earthmoving. Our range of machinery ranges from small earthmoving machines up to 38-tonne vehicles. Our excavators are equipped with machine controls. When working on electricity transmission lines, we use machines with height limiters. We contribute to environmental sustainability, and replace our equipment every year as planned. Depending on its intended use, the average age of our equipment is between three and six years.
Pallet transport services for the transfer of heavy equipment
Our transport fleet moves heavy equipment daily in southern Finland. To ensure smooth logistics, we also transfer heavy equipment to other infrastructure contractors and customers. Our resource manager is in charge of heavy equipment transportation and the overall logistics of our equipment.
Reliable specialised transport to the site
We have long expertise in transportation and specialised transportation services using the appropriate equipment. Our transport fleet is suitable for equipment up to 55 tonnes. We also handle transportation of wide and high loads safely and appropriately. Our services for demanding special transportation includes route planning, permit management and escort vehicles.
Exchange pallet services
We supply exchange pallets to housing associations and construction sites. We own 20 exchange pallets, and in addition to these we also arrange their exchange in accordance with the contract.
Machine control equipment for excavators
We equip all our new excavators with a 3D machine control system. From a display in the cab, the operator can follow the plans of the site in 3D instead of using the conventional 2D paper plans. This enables even better quality, more efficient and faster work and a lower overall price for the customer.
The excavator is fitted with GPS receivers and sensors to measure the machine’s movement. As a result, the excavator obtains its position from satellites and the system draws the movement of the excavator bucket in 3D plans on the system screen. In this way, the driver is always aware of the result that is underway.
Rental equipment
We rent out equipment for construction sites and maintenance. Among our selection are double-deck screens for the efficient screening of substructures and waste fractions, as well as portable ground thawers for melting ice and frost, for example in cable trenches or foundation excavations. Earthwork equipment
Our earth-moving equipment consists of wheeled and tracked excavators ranging from 3.5 to 38 tonnes. In addition to excavators, our fleet includes road compactors ranging in size from 85 kg to 400 kg, roller equipment and drilling and splitting machinery. Machine accessories play an important role in the efficient use of equipment on construction sites and other infrastructure projects. In our investment plans, we pay particular attention to ensuring that the new equipment is up to today’s standards, and we train our staff to use the new technology as necessary.
Maintenance equipment
Our range of maintenance equipment depends on the needs of our projects and customers. In the case of multi-year projects, we invest in equipment suitable for the site, or subcontract with subcontractors to manage the site. An important selection criterion in the procurement of equipment is its functionality to meet the needs of the site and its environmental friendliness. We use the lowest-emission vehicles possible for the job. The maintenance work is mainly carried out with wheeled machines of various sizes, road maintenance vehicles, suction and washing equipment and high-powered mowers. Additional specialised equipment is used as required for the job.
Transport equipment
Our transport fleet consists of three-axle, four-axle and five-axle lorries, pallet-pulling vehicles and exchange pallets. The vehicles are equipped with the necessary earthmoving platforms, scaffolding, as well as snowploughing and road salting equipment. We own 20 exchange pallets. Our transport fleet is designed to serve infrastructure construction sites and infrastructure maintenance. Our extensive partner network enables us to quickly conclude transport fleet contracts as well as larger subcontracts as necessary according to the customer’s needs.
